INNOVEX LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE TO MEET NEEDS OF JOB-SHARE REPS
PARSIPPANY, N.J. - March 28, 2002 - Innovex, a leading commercialization solutions provider to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, today announced the launch of a new commercial service offering, Flex Staffing Services, to fulfill staffing needs for pharmaceutical and biotech companies that provide job-share opportunities for their sales forces.

"One of the obstacles a company faces in making job-share programs work is finding qualified staff to fill the void quickly and effectively," said Todd Meyers, vice president, Innovex Primary Care Sales. "Innovex's Flex Staffing Services provides customer companies with experienced sales professionals with expertise in primary and specialty areas. These representatives undergo accelerated training and development so we can place them in the field quickly and help our customers maintain consistent territory coverage in a competitive marketplace. At the same time, this Innovex service helps customer companies fulfill the career enrichment goals of their job-share programs."

According to a survey of more than 1,000 major U.S. companies conducted by a leading human resources consulting firm, job-share programs have increased from 10 percent to 28 percent in the last 10 years. Through these programs, full-time employees cut back their hours to pursue personal goals, while the company fills the remaining hours with other staff resources. Innovex created Flex Staffing Services to provide the resources to help pharmaceutical companies implement their job-share programs.

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP has called on Innovex to provide general and specialty care sales representatives and field managers for their Flexible Work Arrangement Field Sales job-share program in the United States. "At AstraZeneca, we created the Flexible Work Arrangement Field Sales job-share program to respond to the needs of our employees," said Michael Hickey, Vice President, Field Sales, AstraZeneca. "Working with Innovex, we have delivered a service that's designed to attract and retain our most important asset: our people."
