In this newly created position, Mauzey will be responsible for the day-to-day global operations of Innovex, the worldwide leader in providing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies integrated solutions to enhance the commercial success of their products.

Prior to joining Innovex, Mauzey was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alteon Inc., a New Jersey-based pharmaceutical company. Mauzey joined Alteon from Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, where he held several executive positions from 1989 to 1994, including President of its U.S. Pharmaceutical Division, where he managed a 2,400-employee organization that generated more than $1.5 billion in sales. He also served as Bristol-Myers Squibb's Senior Vice President, Industry and Public Affairs, and President, Corporate Accounts Group.

Mauzey began his 27-year pharmaceutical industry career with Lederle Laboratories. From 1972 to 1989 Mauzey held increasingly responsible sales and marketing positions within Lederle, the last as Vice President of Lederle's International Division.

Mauzey will report to David White, Chief Executive Officer of Innovex, who will focus on the service group's strategic growth and development initiatives, including adding to Innovex's range of commercial solutions and the creation of new knowledge-based, added-value products and services for customers.

"Our customers will benefit greatly from Jim's extensive expertise in accelerating the commercial success of products in an increasingly competitive global market," White said.
